Sitting Pretty is like a day at the spa for your furniture.
Do you have a chair in your attic, wishing for a facelift and some magic?
Sitting Pretty can turn that tired old chair into a one-of-a-kind piece of art, that reflects you and your decor. I specialize in fun, funky, and colors that POP! But I can create 'sophisticated and stately' just as well. Each piece is carefully crafted into a unique work of art. I make that old chair look better, WAY better. It's going to want to look at itself in the mirror after I'm finished with it! Located in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
Owner and artist
I've been crafting and decorating since I was a child. Using cardboard boxes, wallpaper sample books and scrap fabric, I would create cardboard dollhouses but never play with the dolls. Upcycling furniture and decorating have been a passion since I can remember. Now I look for old pieces past their prime, but still with those lovely bones, so that I can give them new life and make heads turn, in colors and fabrics that say, "LOOK AT ME!"
To discuss a commissioned piece feel free to contact me at 603-554-7999. I'm located in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

The greatest chair on earth
started out not so great, but now it's fantastic.
Benjamin Moore's Million Dollar Red, fabric by Spoonflower
Pretty little dresser! What a little charmer this one turned out to be!
That blue metallic paint wasn't doing it much good.
But now it's dressed to kill in my daughter's bedroom.
This little baby went from blah to green with envy. I found a pair of these chairs on the side of the road, cast offs from a yard sale. No one wanted them, except me! I packed those babies up in the back of my car and decided that they needed a garden theme. Wouldn't this be perfect in a potting shed or a back porch? A place to put on your gardening shoes!
Fabric is by Spoonflower and check out the little worms on the print. Adorable. Rustoleum paint in Hunter Green.
The more I looked at this sad little chair, the more it screamed out for Chinese red.
Paint: Benjamin Moore -Million Dollar Red
What a sweet addition to a teenage girl's room. This would be lovely to be used at a vanity table.
Benjamin Moore's satin finish in Spring Leaf.
Decorator fabric from JoAnne Fabrics. Wowza!
Pretty in Pink
The sister chair looks great in white and pink for a little girl. As you can see it wasn't looking too special. Now it's a cutie pie.
